1. Agreement
By accessing or using CardTrail (cardtrail.in), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. We may update these terms from time to time — continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
2. What CardTrail Is
CardTrail is an independent credit card research and comparison platform for India. We provide:
- • Credit card scores, comparisons, and personalised recommendations.
- • Educational guides on credit card usage, RBI regulations, rewards, and financial literacy.
- • Calculators and tools to help you evaluate credit card costs and benefits.
3. Not Financial Advice
CardTrail provides information and research, not financial advice. Specifically:
- • Our scores and recommendations are research tools, not guarantees of card suitability for your specific financial situation.
- • We are not a registered financial advisor, investment advisor, or credit counsellor under SEBI, RBI, or any other Indian regulatory body.
- • Always read the official terms and conditions from the issuing bank before applying for any credit card.
- • If you need personalised financial advice, consult a qualified financial advisor.
4. Accuracy and Limitations
We work hard to keep our data accurate and up-to-date. However:
- • Credit card terms change frequently. Banks may modify fees, rewards, and benefits without prior notice. There may be a delay between a bank's change and our update.
- • We source data from official bank publications, MITC documents, and RBI filings, but we cannot guarantee that all information is complete or error-free at all times.
- • If you spot an error, please let us know — we take data accuracy seriously and will investigate promptly.
5. Affiliate Links and Monetisation
CardTrail may contain affiliate links to bank application pages. When you apply for a card through these links, we may earn a commission from the issuing bank.
- • Affiliate commissions never influence our scores or rankings. The CardTrail Score is calculated independently of monetisation.
- • Affiliate links are always disclosed. You are free to apply directly through the bank's website instead.
- • Using an affiliate link does not change the cost, terms, or benefits of the card for you.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from CardTrail for commercial purposes without written permission.
- • Misrepresent CardTrail content as your own, or present our scores and analysis without attribution.
- • Attempt to interfere with the site's operation, security, or availability.
- • Use CardTrail to distribute spam, malware, or misleading information.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on CardTrail — including text, scores, methodology, design, and code — is the intellectual property of CardTrail unless otherwise stated.
You may share and link to CardTrail content freely. For any commercial use, syndication, or republication, please contact us first.
8. Limitation of Liability
CardTrail is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
- • We are not liable for any financial decisions you make based on information on this site.
- • We are not responsible for the terms, practices, or actions of any bank or card issuer linked from our site.
- • Our total liability for any claim related to your use of CardTrail is limited to the amount you paid us (which, for most users, is zero).
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from the use of CardTrail shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to restrict access to CardTrail for any user who violates these terms. You may stop using CardTrail at any time. Since we don't require accounts, there's nothing to "cancel" — just close the tab.
